Weekend Update (blizzard, grooming, food, weaving)
It started snowing last night and hasn’t stopped since. It’s supposed to get even worse, so we’re bundling up inside today and watching the Superbowl from home (although to be honest I don’t have much interest in this year’s Superbowl). But! We are making deluxe nachos and pulled BBQ chicken sliders.
Yesterday we took Teddy to the groomer, and while we waited for him we hung out at Longman & Eagle which was a fun little day-date! I had a delicious old fashioned and then we shared a cheese plate followed by an early dinner of fried chicken with buttermilk biscuits. The food is gourmet but the place is casual and cozy. We were there from about 4-6pm (the kitchen opens at 5, but you can get drinks, a cheese plate and olives to hold you over until then if you get there before, like we did).
We had just finished up when the groomer called and said Teddy was ready:
What a handsome guy! He looks like a new dog.
Finally, I made this weaving for my friend who recently had a baby girl. It was really fun to do more organic lines and take a break from the geometric shapes! I think the clouds and colors will be perfect for a little one’s room.
