Shop Visit: Humboldt House
A few weeks ago I finally checked out Humboldt House, an awesome vintage store here in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. They sell mid-century modern furniture, vintage kilim rugs and new goods made by local artisans including jewelry, getting cards, apothecary items, planters and more. I want to live there! But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!
“Humboldt House is an vintage modern home shop specializing in vintage modern furniture, eclectic textiles, Chicago made goods and pitbull love.
^love that midde print by Laura Berger. Find more of her awesome work here.
^Gimme this whole vignette right here! Those awesome triangle mirrors are made in Chicago by Norman Leigh Design. While I did not take home any big ticket items (this time), I did snag a delicious smelling candle in “St. John’s Wood” scent as well as the below marble hanging planter which has found a nice home in our bedroom along with this amazing burro tail from Sprout (macrame hanger found on Etsy):
Humboldt House is next door to several other vintage stores and an amazing plant store that has succulents galore. Below is the most amazing gold floor lamp we almost bought from one of the other stores (ahhh I can’t recall the name!) but refrained due to lack of a place for it :( It has Emily Henderson’s name written all over it.
Chicago, color me impressed!
