March Beauty Buys

It’s March! Time is really chugging away and spring feels very close – in fact it is 50 and sunny today. Even with the weather warming up, it’s been really dry here in Chicago. Here are a few beauty products I’ve been loving lately to keep my skin looking and feeling good and hydrated (not to mention the Crane Humidifier):

Weleda Pregnancy Body Oil for Stretch Marks: I’ve been using this stuff since the fall and so far so good! It would be a great body oil for anyone, not just those who are expecting. It is not greasy and absorbs quickly with a spa-like smell.

Lina Hanson Global Baby Serum: I read about this on Cupcakes and Cashmere whose beauty editor (not expecting) recommended it as a great facial oil that doesn’t clog pores, and it delivers! I use it as my main facial moisturizer and love its light feel and the fact that it is odor-free. I’ll be sticking with this one well past pregnancy.

Herbivore  Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Face Mist: This was a Christmas gift, and I will definitely be replacing it once its gone. I like to use it as a toner after I wash my face as well in the afternoon as a little facial pick me up. It’s also great to take with you when traveling!

NARS The Multiple, Palm Beach: I have used this bronzer on and off since college, and I always go back to it because it is awesome both in color and consistency. I love that it is a creamy stick – it blends in to look natural and goes perfectly with NARS blush in Orgasm.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara: This is another product I have come to again and again after trying others. I keep coming back because it stays wet in the bottle (other mascaras seem to dry out quickly), doesn’t clump and doesn’t flake. Someone stopped me on my way to work recently to tell me my “lashes are on point” – if that isn’t a ringing endorsement then I don’t know what is!

Eucerin Eczema Relief Body Creme: While I don’t have eczema, my skin was feeling pretty parched and itchy this winter from the dryness, so I went for the most moisturizing thing at the drugstore. This doesn’t have a fragrance and just makes your skin really soft.

Malin+Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant: This is the best natural deodorant I have tried. Others have plain not worked at all or gave me a rash. This one isn’t cheap, but one stick lasts a really long time (I probably buy 2 a year) and it works. It has a really light fresh scent, goes on clear, and I like that it isn’t a paste you apply with your fingers like some of the other natural options.

And, here are a few things I am anxious to try for spring:

Essie Angora Cardi: This dusty rose color has a bit of a 90s vibe but still feels modern. I’ve only gotten my nails done a couple of times since I’ve been pregnant, so I’m looking forward to treating myself to a mani/pedi before my shower!

Stila Lip Glaze in sheer rosy mauve: This super glossy pinky tint looks super fresh for warmer weather! Having a few, great makeup products that give me an enhanced natural look are what’s up, as I have no tolerance for spending tons of time getting ready and I hate the way a lot of makeup feels.

ASOS Maternity Swing Dress: This is actually on the way, I hope it looks as cute in person! Love that it doesn’t have any ruching.

P.S. Check out my Etsy shop – two new weavings are up!
